Country Music news is on TV and the Internet
What's new in the world of Country Music? Well to find out
you can turn on your television, and turn to the Country Music
Television (CMT) channel or the Great American Country (GAC) channel.
The more time you spend watching these two channels the more you’ll
learn what’s happening with Country Music.
Fortunately however, you don’t have to own a TV or be hooked up to
cable or Satellite to wait to find out what’s going on in Country
music. Just go online and add www.CMT.com to your address and click on
the news tab to find out what’s new.
Just last week on Wednesday Feburary16th, the fans from all over voted
for the Country Music Award Show Nominees. From that list they
determine the finalists on the Country Music Award show held April 11
at 8p.m Eastern time. The performance line up will include, Kenny
Chesney, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Reba McEntire, Gretchen Wilson and
Big & Rich. Additional performers will be announced soon.
All the above information is provided from the CMT website but that’s
not all that is available - their site offers more much more.
You can also go to: www.GACTV.com then you click news and read the most
recent articles, some of which includes the news. From the web site I
learned that Big and Rich are being sponsored in Washington, D.C. March
9th for their efforts to help support "Stop Violence Against Women
Week" WOMACK is being honored for "I Hope You Dance," that has become
an anthem for battered women trying to rebuild their lives. Both John
and Kenny have sisters who were victims of domestic violence and their
song based on that also, "Holy Water," is being honored along with
them.
